Job summary

Siemens Energy Unipessoal Lda. in the United Kingdom seeks a Commercial (Financial) Project Manager to oversee small projects within the Transformation of Industry Business Area. You will manage financial planning and execution in close collaboration with the project manager.

You will support the Project Manager, handle accounting, tax, FX, and guarantees, and ensure accurate costing and invoicing. The role emphasizes IFRS15 compliance, risk assessment, and timely reporting across SAP systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting or equivalent experience.
• 3+ years as commercial project manager.
• Knowledge of project controlling and reporting standards and processes.
• Experience with MS Office and SAP.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and teamwork.
• Customer and results orientation with initiative.

Responsibilities

• Supports the Project Manager in managing and optimizing targeted financial results with due professional care.
• Full responsibility for all commercial/finance-related matters, including accounting, legal, tax, foreign exchange, guarantees.
• Ensures robust methodology for identifying, evaluating, risks and opportunities, strategies, and mitigation activities.
• Ensures accuracy of cost and pricing calculations and overall project financials, including SAP recording.
• Prepares commercial documentation for regular project status meetings and ensures accuracy of project financials.
• Ensures compliance with IFRS15, local GAAP, reporting guidelines and internal controls.
• Identifies and minimizes non-conformance costs and supports lessons learned transfer.
• Responsible for monthly revenue recognition and contractual invoicing.
• Assists Controlling and Reporting tasks for forecasting and budgeting.

With focus on our Steam Turbine and Generator business in United Kingdom, we are looking for a Commercial (Financial) Project Manager for small projects within the Siemens Energy Transformation of Industry Business Area. You will be responsible for financial project planning and execution in close cooperation with project manager.

How You’ll Make an Impact

• Supports the Project Manager in managing and optimizing targeted financial results with due professional care
• You have full responsibility for all commercial/finance-related matters, including but not limited to handling Accounting, Legal, Tax, Foreign Exchange, guarantees
• Ensures accurate methodology for identifying, evaluating, assessing risks & opportunities, strategies, and mitigation activities.
• Ensures the accuracy of cost and pricing calculation as well as overall project financials, incl. recording of such in appropriate systems, e.G., SAP.

What You Bring

• You hold a bachelor's degree in finance or accounting or equivalent based on experience
• You can boast at least 3 years of relevant experience as commercial project manager
• Well-founded knowledge in the area of project controlling and project reporting including corresponding standards and processes
• Experienced user of Microsoft Office applications and SAP
• Strong critical thinking, problem solving and efficient communication skills, team player,
• Customer, result and quality orientation and motivation, as well as personal initiative
