Siemens Energy is seeking a Finance Assistant to support the EU Hub in commercial and financial management. You will handle accounting tasks, budgeting, forecasting, and analysis across multiple countries, collaborating with local stakeholders to ensure transparent reporting.

Requirements include a degree in Business Administration, Accounting and Finance and up to two years in a similar role, with SAP experience and strong communication in English. Hybrid work is available within Portugal.

You will support with all commercial/financial Real Estate related tasks for various countries, enabling a complete and transparent analysis of SE Real Estate business as well as liaising with the local stakeholders. How You'll Make a Difference

• Supports accurate books and records including the recording in appropriate systems i.e., compliance with Siemens Energy Financial Reporting Guidelines (IFRS), set up of project activities in SAP including accurate budget and forecast on a timely basis
• Validating invoices, preparation of accruals, support with POs
• Budgeting/Forecasting and actual reporting at country level
• Analyses and monitors targeted finance results (Gross Cost, Free Cashflow, Profit and capex)
• Performs financial analysis regarding trends, assets, cash and liabilities
• Support in implementing process improvements, automation initiatives and new business tools
• Support ad-hoc tasks / requirements
• Required knowledge and experience
• Degree in Business Administration, Accounting and Finance or similar
• Up to 2 years working in a similar controlling role. Previous experience working in a numerical or financial environment is required. The post holder should be accounting qualified, with previous SAP experience
• Understanding of accounting principles and understanding of P&L and Balance sheet
• Basic understanding of tax incl. VAT
• The ability to communicate clearly with different levels of stakeholders across the business.
• Right attitude, ability to adapt and learn new skills
• Initiative, proactive and team play
• English speaking required
