Job summary

UNIT4 NV is seeking a Collections Manager in Lisbon to lead a small team focused on maximizing cash collection, reducing overdue debt, and resolving customer disputes. The role reports to the Collections Team Lead and requires close collaboration with Sales, Finance, Billing, Customer Success, and Legal to ensure commercially appropriate outcomes.

• Lead and coach a small Collections Specialists team to maximise cash collection and reduce overdue debt.
• Monitor collection performance, aged debt, and cash targets to align with company objectives.
• Support team with escalated and high-value accounts and negotiates resolutions.
• Drive timely collection of outstanding receivables while maintaining positive customer relationships.
• Coordinate with Sales, Finance, Billing, Customer Success and Legal to resolve disputes and recover amounts.
• Serve as main escalation point for complex collection and dispute cases.
• Identify bad debt risks and recommend recovery actions.
• Produce regular reporting on collections performance, disputes, and account risk.
• Continuously improve collections processes, controls, and operational efficiency.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and contractual obligations.

• Lead the resolution of business disputes by working with customers and internal stakeholders, including Sales, Finance, Billing, Customer Success, and Legal, to reach commercially appropriate solutions.
• Act as the main escalation point for complex collection and dispute cases.
• Identify and mitigate bad debt risks and recommend recovery actions where required.
• Produce regular reporting on collections performance, disputes, and account risk.
• Continuously improve collections processes, controls, and operational efficiency.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and contractual obligations.
