Job summary

Tyk is seeking a Site Reliability Engineer in Lisbon to join a centralized SRE team. You’ll build and automate at scale across multi-region Kubernetes, run services like MongoDB and Redis, and improve observability while on-call. The role emphasizes learning, shadowing first, and collaborating with product teams.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in SRE, platform or infrastructure roles.
• Hands-on experience running production Kubernetes at scale, ideally EKS.
• Experience designing and operating infrastructure on AWS, with Terraform or similar.
• Ability to write, test and ship Go tooling or services.
• Strong knowledge of Prometheus and Grafana and logging systems.
• Solid Linux and networking fundamentals (DNS, TCP/IP, HTTP, TLS).
• Clear communication across time zones and teams.

Responsibilities

• Deliver the team's planned work each quarter, optimise the platform and build self-serve tooling.
• Expand Tyk Cloud across regions and clouds while reducing costs.
• Automate operations in Go and maintain Kubernetes operators.
• Run the platform services and databases (MongoDB, Redis).
• Improve observability with metrics, dashboards and alerts; maintain runbooks.
• Support SOC 2 audits and security work; on-call rotations.
