Job summary

Decskill is seeking an experienced Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) to ensure reliability and cost-efficiency of production infrastructure. This fully remote role supports a global platform, with a team of Backend and Systems Engineers working on observability, CI/CD, and scalable services.

You will own the observability stack and CI/CD pipelines across Kubernetes clusters, promote SRE best practices, and drive automation across a high-volume production environment.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional experience in SRE, DevOps, or infrastructure engineering.
• Hands-on experience with Kubernetes (AKS preferred), Helm, Flux, Docker, and Ansible in production.
• Experience with Microsoft Azure (AKS, Storage, Service Bus, MySQL, PostgreSQL, Cosmos DB).
• Proficiency in GitLab CI/CD and GitOps principles.
• Hands-on with Terraform.
• Experience with Grafana, Loki, Tempo, Mimir, Prometheus (LGTM stack) or equivalents.
• Familiar with SRE practices including SLOs, incident management, and on-call.
• Must be a fiscal resident of Portugal.

Responsibilities

• Own and evolve the observability stack from alert tuning to SLO definition.
• Maintain and improve CI/CD pipelines across Kubernetes clusters.
• Ensure platform scalability and cost-efficiency as data grows.
• Promote SRE best practices across the engineering team.
• Improve automation, observability, and operational efficiency.
• Contribute to reliability, performance, and availability of complex systems.
