Decskill is seeking a Business Intelligence Consultant to design, develop, and maintain scalable Power BI solutions for diverse clients, emphasizing data modeling, DAX, and SQL to deliver actionable insights.

You will build efficient data models, optimize performance, implement Row-Level Security, and craft dashboards that tell clear stories to business stakeholders in a hybrid Lisbon-based role (2x/week in the office).

We would like to meet a Business Intelligence Consultant for a project with a hybrid working model in Lisbon, Portugal (2x/week at the office).

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable Power BI solutions.
• Build efficient and well-structured data models to support business reporting.
• Develop advanced DAX measures and calculations to deliver meaningful business insights.
• Create and optimize ETL processes using Power Query.
• Design intuitive, user-friendly dashboards and reports following data visualization and storytelling best practices.
• Write and optimize SQL queries to extract and transform data from relational databases.
• Analyze complex datasets to identify trends, opportunities, and business recommendations.
• Optimize report performance and ensure scalable Power BI architecture.
• Implement Row-Level Security (RLS) and follow data governance best practices.
• Present findings and insights clearly to business stakeholders.

Required Technical Skills:

• Strong experience with Power BI development.
• Solid understanding of Data Modeling, including relationships, schema design, and performance optimization.
• Advanced knowledge of DAX, including measures, calculated columns, and context management.
• Experience with Power Query, ETL processes, data cleansing, and query folding.
• Strong expertise in Data Visualization, UX principles, dashboard design, and data storytelling.
• Proficiency in SQL and relational databases.
• Strong analytical and data interpretation skills.
• Experience optimizing Power BI performance and solution architecture.
• Knowledge of Row-Level Security (RLS) and data governance best practices.
