Decskill is seeking a PowerBI Developer to join our IT consulting team in Portugal. You will design and implement end-to-end BI solutions, ingest data sources into Microsoft Fabric, and build scalable data models to support business insights.

You will collaborate with stakeholders, optimize performance, and ensure data governance with security models like Row-Level Security. This role offers long-term growth within an international group and a strong people-first culture.

Qualificações

• 3+ years of experience in Data Analytics, BI, or Data Engineering.
• Strong expertise in Power BI development lifecycle.
• Advanced knowledge of DAX and Power Query.
• Proficiency in SQL.
• Hands-on experience with Microsoft Fabric (Lakehouse/Warehouse, pipelines, semantic models).
• Experience with Python for data processing and automation.
• Solid understanding of data modeling principles.
• Experience implementing security models in Power BI.
• Familiarity with performance optimization techniques across BI solutions.
• Understanding of data architecture concepts (data lakes, medallion architecture, ETL vs ELT).
• Ability to translate complex business requirements into scalable technical solutions.

Responsabilidades

• Integrate and onboard new data sources into Microsoft Fabric using internal framework.
• Maintain Fabric data platform pipelines, datasets, and semantic models.
• Develop end-to-end Power BI solutions including ingestion, modeling, and visualization.
• Implement and optimize data transformation logic with Power Query (M), SQL, and Python.
• Design scalable data models with focus on performance, usability, and governance.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to translate requirements into data solutions.
• Produce and maintain technical documentation.
• Enforce data quality checks, monitoring, and validation across pipelines and reports.
• Monitor and troubleshoot pipelines, datasets, and reports for reliability and availability.
• Implement and manage security models (RLS, workspace roles, data access governance).

We are looking for an PowerBI Developer!

Responsabilities:

• Integrate and onboard new data sources into Microsoft Fabric using the internal ingestion and orchestration framework
• Maintain Fabric data platform framework (including pipelines, datasets, and semantic models).
• Develop end-to-end Power BI solutions, including data ingestion, transformation, semantic modeling, and visualization layers
• Implement and optimize data transformation logic using Power Query (M), SQL, and Python.
• Design and maintain scalable and reusable data models with focus on performance, usability, and governance.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to translate functional requirements into technical specifications and data solutions.
• Produce and maintain technical documentation.
• Implement and enforce data quality checks, monitoring, and validation processes across pipelines and reports.
• Monitor and troubleshoot data pipelines, datasets, and reports to ensure performance, reliability, and availability.
• Implement and manage security models (Row-Level Security, workspace roles, data access governance).

Requirements

• +3 years of experience in Data Analytics, Business Intelligence, or Data Engineering.
• Strong expertise in Power BI development lifecycle (data ingestion, modeling, visualization, deployment).
• Advanced knowledge of DAX (measures optimization, context handling) and Power Query (M).
• Proficiency in SQL.
• Hands-on experience with Microsoft Fabric (Lakehouse/Warehouse, pipelines, semantic models).
• Experience with Python for data processing, transformation, and automation.
• Solid understanding of data modeling principles (dimensional modeling, normalization/denormalization trade-offs).
• Experience implementing security models in Power BI.
• Familiarity with performance optimization techniques across BI solutions.
• Understanding of data architecture concepts (data lakes, medallion architecture, ETL vs ELT patterns).
• Ability to translate complex business requirements into scalable technical solutions
