Hexa Consulting in Porto is seeking a Quality Assurance Engineer for a hybrid role with one on-site day per week. The role blends manual and automated testing, starting with manual focus and a path toward automation.

You will analyze requirements, design test cases, perform tests, document results, and collaborate with dev and product teams, while improving QA processes and delivery reliability.

Qualificações

ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY

We are looking for a Quality Assurance Engineer to join a hybrid opportunity in the Porto area, with one on-site day per week. This role combines manual and automated testing, initially with a stronger focus on manual testing and a progressive path toward test automation.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

• Analyze product requirements and define clear test scenarios, test cases and validation criteria.


• Execute manual tests to identify defects, validate functionality and support product quality.


• Document test results, report issues clearly and collaborate with development and product teams on resolution.


• Contribute to the gradual introduction and optimization of automated testing practices.


• Support continuous improvement of quality assurance processes, testing standards and delivery reliability.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

• 3 to 5 years of experience in quality assurance, software testing or similar roles.


• Experience with manual testing and interest in developing stronger test automation capabilities.


• Ability to understand product behavior, analyze functional flows and identify quality risks.


• Good communication skills and professional working proficiency in English, with a minimum B2 level.


• Collaborative, responsible and solution-oriented approach to working with multidisciplinary teams.

TECHNICAL SKILLS

• Manual software testing

• Basic understanding of automated testing concepts


• Playwright or Cypress, as potential automation tools

NICE TO HAVE

• Previous exposure to test automation frameworks.
