Primer is the unified infrastructure for global payments, and the Account Experience team builds the platform merchants interact with from setup to daily operations. As a Backend Engineer, you will own features end-to-end, design reliable services, and scale with Primer's growing product suite.

You'll work remotely in a small, high-calibre team, contribute to architecture decisions, and help maintain clear service contracts and observable systems that power merchant experiences across Primer's

Qualificações

• Solid backend engineering experience with production-ready software.
• Strong understanding of distributed systems and failure modes.
• Experience with REST APIs and reliable, observable services.
• Experience owning work end to end, including monitoring and deployment.
• Willing to contribute to architecture discussions.
• Experience in payments/fintech context is a plus.

Responsabilidades

• Take full ownership of backend features from scoping to production.
• Design and deliver backend services handling real payment volume.
• Contribute to architecture discussions and advocate simple designs.
• Monitor production impact and drive incidents to resolution.
• Write high-quality, production-ready code with robust error paths.
• Collaborate with Account Experience engineers on scoping, code reviews.
• Help maintain engineering standards.
