Primer is redefining global payments with a unified data platform. We seek an Engineering Manager to lead a senior data engineering team, own delivery of streaming, warehousing, and data modelling, and guide the evolution of the ML function within Primer's data organisation.

You will shape roadmaps with product and engineering leadership and drive operational excellence in a remote-first environment. You'll work with a small, autonomous team of data engineers, including Staff-level talent,

Qualificações

• Experience leading a data engineering team and delivering data platforms at scale.
• Deep technical depth to review streaming architectures and data models.
• Experience coaching senior engineers, including staff-level talent.
• Exposure to ML engineering and ability to lead ML function as it grows.

Responsabilidades

• Own delivery end-to-end of Primer's data platform, including streaming, warehousing, modelling, and pipelines.
• Lead, coach, and grow engineers; drive career development and performance.
• Review designs for real-time streaming and warehouse architecture; assess production-scale pipelines.
• Treat data consumers as first-class users; ensure reliable contracts and well-documented models.
• Take on ML function delivery and people leadership as it matures.
• Partner with Product and Engineering leadership to shape the roadmap and manage risks.
• Drive data quality, incident response, and post-mortems across systems.
• Own cost of data platform; embed FinOps, cost visibility and accountability.
