Primer is the unified infrastructure for global payments, loved by merchants worldwide. The Account Experience team builds the merchant interface, from setup to day-to-day operations, and Primer AI Companion as a first-class surface.

As Staff Engineer, you’ll set frontend technical direction across several teams, staying hands-on where it matters. The stack is TypeScript, React, plus Python, AWS, Kubernetes, and Terraform.

Qualificações

• Experience operating at staff or principal level: setting front-end direction across multiple teams.
• Deep front-end expertise with TypeScript and React and architecting long-lived web apps.
• Strong focus on state management, performance, accessibility and design-system thinking.
• Ability to earn trust and guide others through influence and example.

Responsabilidades

• Set front-end technical strategy across Account Experience teams, from architecture to hands-on implementation.
• Own the architecture of a complex merchant platform, with scalable patterns and state management.
• Shape Primer AI Companion front-end as a first-class interface integrated with the platform.
• Maintain coherence across Account Setup, Monitors, Workflows, and Auditing — build shared components and design systems.
• Lead engineers across teams without direct authority through mentorship and code/design reviews.
• Prioritize accessibility, performance budgets, and front-end observability as core concerns.
• Collaborate with Product, Design, and backend engineers to align front-end decisions with business needs.
