Job summary

Irium Portugal is seeking a skilled Backend Developer to join a challenging tech project in Lisbon. You will build and maintain backend applications using Java 17+, Spring Boot and Hibernate, and you will design APIs while following best practices.

You will mentor junior developers, distribute tasks, and monitor deliverables, collaborating closely with Product Owners and production support teams. The role is hybrid (2 days on-site, 3 days remote) with a monthly gross salary of €1,400–€1,600,

Irium is a leading company in the implementation of Information Technology Solutions and Systems for more than eighteen years. We are currently looking for a Backend Developer to join a challenging technology project.

Develop and maintain applications. Identify good practices and produce technical documentation. Follow up with junior developers, distribute tasks and monitor deliverables. Collaborate with Product Owners and production support teams.

Требования

• At least 5 years of professional experience in backend development.
• Solid experience with Java 17 or higher, Spring Boot and Hibernate.
• Experience in developing and integrating APIs.
• Knowledge of Git and messaging systems (Queue Messaging), namely Kafka or equivalents.
• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Knowledge of relational and NoSQL databases, such as Oracle, PostgreSQL and MongoDB.
• Experience with Scrum / Agile methodologies.
• Good communication skills, autonomy, proactivity, analytical thinking and team spirit.
• Будет плюсом: Professional experience in the banking sector; Knowledge of document management, OCR and GenAI; Experience with Cloud platforms, namely Azure and AWS; Familiarity with Artificial Intelligence tools applied to software development

Hybrid arrangement — Lisbon (2 days on-site and 3 days remote per week). Availability within 30 days, preferably sooner. Gross monthly salary: €1,400–€1,600 per month.
