Job summary

Vantage Towers in Portugal is seeking a seasoned Operations Professional to drive automation, AI-enabled capabilities, and zero-touch processes across TOC and Infrastructure Operations. You’ll define use cases, support rollout, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to elevate incident triage, resolution, and proactive operations.

The role requires 5+ years in operations, NOC/TOC, or telecom infrastructure, with strong expertise in OSS and automation.

Your Responsibilities

Service Delivery & Operations: Identify, prioritize, and define automation, AI, and zero-touch use cases across TOC and Infrastructure Operations, focusing on high-volume and high-impact activities. Support the design and rollout of agentic AI capabilities for operational use cases such as incident triage, enrichment, prioritization, and assisted or autonomous resolution. Enable closed-loop operations by integrating AI and automation with monitoring, OSS, and workflow platforms. Work with TOC and operational teams to standardize processes and prepare them for zero-touch execution while evolving from reactive to proactive and predictive operations. Support product management for Operational Platforms and OSS, translating business and operational requirements into platform capabilities and roadmap evolution.
Governance & Reporting: Define and maintain the automation, AI, and zero-touch operations framework, including standards, principles, and adoption guidelines. Establish governance, risk, and control mechanisms for automation and agentic AI, including human-in-the-loop models, escalation paths, explainability, and auditability. Ensure alignment with the TOC Operating Model and operational governance. Support Local Markets in adopting these capabilities consistently while defining and tracking value realization metrics. Promote data quality, observability, and telemetry capabilities required to enable advanced analytics and autonomous operations.
Customer Operations & Support: Improve customer experience through faster incident resolution, reduced service disruption, and proactive service management. Support customer reviews by demonstrating the impact of automation, AI, and zero-touch capabilities on service performance and reliability. Ensure automation, AI enablement, and operational readiness are embedded into new customer, product, and service introductions.

Your Profile

Educational Background: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Telecommunications Engineering or a comparable field.
Professional Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience in Operations, Service Delivery, NOC/TOC, Automation, or Telecommunications Infrastructure environments.
Technical Skills
Mandatory

• Strong experience in process automation, workflow orchestration, and operational process redesign.
• Good understanding of AI, GenAI, and agentic AI concepts applied to operational environments, including anomaly detection, decision support, and closed-loop automation.
• Experience contributing to automation- and AI-based solutions in collaboration with IT, engineering, or data teams.
• Understanding of human-in-the-loop, assisted, and zero-touch operational models.
• Expert knowledge of TOC/NOC operations, OSS environments, and service assurance.
• Experience driving operational transformation and adoption across multiple stakeholders and international markets.

At Vantage Towers we operate in 8 different European countries. This role will be based in Portugal.
