Inetum in Portugal is seeking an Application Support Engineer to ensure the stability, availability and performance of production applications in a hybrid work environment. You will monitor systems, manage incidents, and collaborate with development, infrastructure and external teams.

You will execute deployments, patches and change activities, support observability initiatives with Dynatrace, and contribute to continuous service improvements while participating in on-call rotations for critical

Qualificações

• Experience supporting production applications in a live environment.
• Troubleshooting Java and JBoss EAP with performance tuning.
• Experience with OpenShift, Kubernetes, and cloud/on-prem environments.
• Proficiency with observability tools such as Dynatrace.

Job Description

We are looking for an Application Support Engineer to ensure the stability, availability, and performance of critical business applications. Working in a hybrid environment, you will support production systems, manage incidents, contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, and collaborate with development, infrastructure, and external teams.

Main Responsibilities

• Ensure the stability, availability, and performance of production applications.


• Monitor applications and manage incidents, problems, and service requests.


• Coordinate issue resolution with development, infrastructure, and external teams.


• Execute deployments, upgrades, patches, and change activities.


• Support monitoring and observability initiatives using tools such as Dynatrace.


• Maintain technical documentation and contribute to service improvement initiatives.


• Participate in on-call support activities for critical systems when required.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting business-critical applications in production environments.


• Experience with Red Hat JBoss EAP and Java troubleshooting.


• Knowledge of heap dump and thread dump analysis and performance optimization.


• Experience with OpenShift and Kubernetes environments.


• Experience with API Gateway solutions such as Axway and/or Apigee.


• Knowledge of RHEL Linux.


• Experience with monitoring and observability tools, including Dynatrace.


• Experience with CI/CD tools including GitLab, ArgoCD, Jenkins, and Nexus Sonatype.


• Experience with Ansible and/or Terraform.


• Knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server and PostgreSQL.


• Professional proficiency in Portuguese and English.

Additional Valued Experience

• Exposure to Jaeger, Grafana, Prometheus, and ELK.


• Experience working within ITIL-based support processes.
