Job summary

Eligo Recruitment is seeking an IT Transition Manager for Poland, fluent in German and English, to lead IT transitions into internal GBS/Shared Services. This is a permanent role with remote/hybrid work and travel to Germany as required.

You will own the transition lifecycle, coordinate planning, risk assessment and cutover activities, and work across enterprise applications and IT functions to ensure a smooth move to the new operating model.

Qualifications

• Led IT transitions into internal GBS/Shared Services environments.
• Experience in consultancy/client-facing transition work.
• Strong knowledge of transition methodologies, KT and cutover.
• Experience in international or multi-country programs.
• Fluent German and English.
• Willing to travel to Germany as required.

Responsibilities

An international consultancy is expanding its transformation team in Poland and is looking for experienced IT Transition Managers to support a major GBS and Shared Services transformation programme.

This is a hands-on transition role for someone who has personally led the movement of IT services from local or in-country teams into an internal Global Business Services (GBS) or Shared Services Centre.

You’ll take ownership across the transition lifecycle, working with senior stakeholders and delivery teams to assess the current environment, plan the transition and successfully move services into the new operating model.

What you’ll be doing:

• Leading IT transitions from current-state assessment through to BAU handover
• Assessing existing IT services, processes, dependencies and risks
• Developing detailed transition and migration plans
• Coordinating knowledge transfer and operational readiness
• Managing cutover and go-live activities
• Leading hypercare, stabilisation and handover
• Managing RAID, governance, milestones and senior stakeholders
• Working across enterprise applications, infrastructure, service management and related IT functions
• Advising clients and stakeholders throughout the transition

What we’re looking for:

• Proven experience personally leading IT services into an internal GBS or Shared Services environment
• Experience working in a consultancy, advisory or client-facing transition capacity
• Strong knowledge of transition methodologies, KT, cutover and stabilisation
• Experience across complex international or multi-country programmes
• Fluent German and English
• Comfortable travelling to Germany as required

This isn’t an IT operations or BAU service management position. We’re specifically looking for someone who has designed, planned and driven IT transitions and can confidently advise stakeholders throughout the process.
