Qualifications

  • Thorough knowledge of aircraft sheet metal and structural repair techniques.
  • Ability to read, understand, and interpret CMMs, SRMs, Engineering Orders, technical drawings, OEM repair instructions, and other approved maintenance data.

Responsibilities

  • Perform sheet metal and structural repairs on aircraft components and flight controls in accordance with approved maintenance data and company procedures.
  • Inspect maintenance and repair work in the Sheet Metal Workshop and ensure conformity with technical and regulatory requirements.
  • Certify maintenance activities within the scope and limitations of the company-issued certifying staff authorization.
  • Issue or support the issuance of the applicable release documentation in accordance with Part-145 requirements and company procedures.
  • Ensure all maintenance activities are completed, inspected, and documented before certification.
  • Verify maintenance data and documentation are current and applicable.
  • Provide technical guidance and hands-on support to sheet metal technicians during complex repairs.
  • Support training and development of sheet metal technicians.
  • Participate in continuous improvement to improve repair quality, productivity, and turnaround time.

The Sheet Metal Certifying Staff is responsible for performing, inspecting, and certifying sheet metal and structural repair activities on aircraft components and flight controls within the Skyways Technics Poland component repair workshop.

The Sheet Metal Certifying Staff is responsible for performing, inspecting, and certifying sheet metal and structural repair activities on aircraft components and flight controls within the Skyways Technics Poland component repair workshop.

The role ensures that all maintenance and repair activities within the individual's scope of authorization are performed in accordance with approved maintenance data, applicable Part-145 requirements, company procedures, and the conditions of the certifying staff authorization issued by Skyways Technics.

The Sheet Metal Certifying Staff is expected to maintain a strong hands-on role in workshop activities while providing technical guidance and support to sheet metal technicians.

Responsibilities
  • Perform sheet metal and structural repairs on aircraft components and flight controls in accordance with approved maintenance data and company procedures.
  • Inspect maintenance and repair work performed within the Sheet Metal Workshop and ensure conformity with applicable technical and regulatory requirements.
  • Certify maintenance activities within the scope and limitations of the company-issued certifying staff authorization.
  • Issue or support the issuance of the applicable release documentation in accordance with Part-145 requirements, company procedures, and individual authorization privileges.
  • Ensure that all maintenance activities have been properly completed, inspected, and documented before certification.
  • Verify that the correct and current maintenance data, including CMMs, SRMs, Engineering Orders, OEM repair instructions, and other approved technical documentation, have been used.
  • Ensure all required maintenance steps, inspections, measurements, and tests have been satisfactorily completed before certification.
  • Review work orders, task cards, repair documentation, and maintenance records for completeness and accuracy.
  • Identify and report technical discrepancies, additional damages, or deviations discovered during the repair process.
  • Coordinate with Technical Services regarding damage assessments, technical queries, OEM repair requests, and approved repair instructions.
  • Ensure that any work outside approved maintenance data is not performed without appropriate technical evaluation and approved repair instructions.
  • Perform and document required inspections in accordance with company procedures and applicable maintenance data.
  • Provide technical guidance and hands-on support to sheet metal technicians during complex structural repairs.
  • Support the Sheet Metal Supervisor in resolving technical issues and identifying repair risks that may impact turnaround time or production planning.
  • Ensure proper use of approved materials, parts, consumables, tooling, and equipment during maintenance activities.
  • Verify the serviceability and calibration status of applicable tools and measuring equipment prior to use.
  • Ensure full traceability of materials and parts used during component repair activities.
  • Maintain high standards of workmanship, safety, housekeeping, and Foreign Object Damage (FOD) prevention within the workshop.
  • Immediately report any safety, quality, or compliance concerns to the Sheet Metal Supervisor, Workshop Management, or Quality Department as applicable.
  • Support internal, customer, and regulatory audits when required.
  • Participate in continuous improvement activities aimed at improving repair quality, productivity, and turnaround time.
  • Support the training, coaching, and practical development of sheet metal technicians.
  • Perform other maintenance and certification activities within the scope of individual competence and company authorization.
Qualification Requirements
  • Technical or vocational education in aircraft maintenance, aircraft structures, sheet metal work, mechanical engineering, or a related technical discipline. Relevant aircraft structural and sheet metal repair training. Thorough knowledge of aircraft sheet metal and structural repair techniques. Ability to read, understand, and interpret CMMs, SRMs, Engineering Orders, technical drawings, OEM repair instructions, and other approved maintenance data.
Good Understanding Of Part-145 Requirements And Certifying Staff Responsibilities.

Completion of applicable regulatory and company training is required for certifying staff authorization.

Knowledge of Human Factors, Fuel Tank Safety, EWIS, and other applicable regulatory training requirements, where relevant to the scope of work.

Good computer skills and ability to work with electronic maintenance documentation and workshop management systems.

Good command of English, both written and spoken, sufficient to understand technical documentation and exercise certification responsibilities.

Must meet the company's competence and authorization requirements for Sheet Metal Certifying Staff.

Working Experience Requirements
  • Minimum 5 years of practical experience in aircraft sheet metal and structural repair activities.
  • Strong hands-on experience in the repair of aircraft components, flight controls, or aircraft structural assemblies.
  • Demonstrated experience using CMMs, SRMs, technical drawings, Engineering Orders, and OEM-approved repair instructions.
  • Experience reviewing and completing maintenance documentation and work records within a regulated aviation maintenance environment.
  • Previous experience as Certifying Staff, Authorized Release Staff, or equivalent within a Part-145-approved organization is highly desirable.
  • Practical experience within a Part-145 component maintenance environment is preferred.
  • Experience with aircraft flight control component repairs is considered a strong advantage.
  • Experience with ATR aircraft components and flight controls is considered a strong advantage.
