Skyways Technics in Poland seeks an experienced Sheet Metal Worker to perform structural repairs and maintenance on aircraft components within the Skyways Technics Poland workshop. You will execute repairs per approved maintenance data and OEM documentation, ensuring high quality and safety standards.

The role requires 5+ years of practical experience in aircraft sheet metal repair or similar aviation maintenance, with preference for experience in ATR components and familiarity with Part-145

Qualifications

Position Summary

The Sheet Metal Worker is responsible for performing structural repairs, modifications, and maintenance activities on aircraft components and flight controls within the Skyways Technics Poland component repair workshop.


The Sheet Metal Worker is responsible for performing structural repairs, modifications, and maintenance activities on aircraft components and flight controls within the Skyways Technics Poland component repair workshop. The role requires the accurate execution of repairs in accordance with approved maintenance data, OEM documentation, company procedures, and applicable Part-145 requirements while maintaining the highest standards of quality and safety.


Responsibilities


  • Perform sheet metal repairs on aircraft components and flight controls in accordance with approved maintenance data, repair instructions, and company procedures.

  • Carry out structural repair activities including drilling, cutting, trimming, forming, fitting, riveting, fastening, and assembly of metallic aircraft structures.

  • Perform removal and replacement of damaged structural parts and materials as specified in approved repair documentation.

  • Read, understand, and accurately follow technical drawings, repair manuals, Component Maintenance Manuals (CMM), Structural Repair Manuals (SRM), Engineering Orders, and other applicable maintenance data.

  • Perform dimensional checks and measurements using appropriate precision measuring equipment.

  • Identify and report damages, defects, discrepancies, or additional findings discovered during the repair process.

  • Support damage assessment activities and provide accurate technical information to Supervisors and Technical Services.

  • Ensure all work performed is properly recorded and documented in accordance with company procedures and regulatory requirements.

  • Ensure proper use, control, and care of tools, equipment, and workshop facilities.

  • Verify that tools and equipment used are serviceable and within calibration requirements where applicable.

  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized working area and comply with workshop safety requirements.

  • Follow applicable environmental, occupational health and safety, and chemical handling requirements.

  • Support workshop productivity and turnaround time targets while maintaining required quality standards.

  • Participate in continuous improvement activities and support the implementation of improved repair and production processes.

  • Cooperate closely with Supervisors, Technical Services, Quality, Logistics, and other workshop personnel.

  • Perform other workshop-related duties within the employee's competence and authorization as assigned by the Supervisor or Workshop Management.


Qualification Requirements


  • Technical or vocational education in aircraft maintenance, sheet metal work, mechanical engineering, metal fabrication, or a related technical discipline.

  • Relevant aircraft structural or sheet metal training is preferred.

  • Ability to read and understand technical drawings and maintenance documentation.

  • Good knowledge of sheet metal tools, equipment, and repair techniques.

  • Basic computer skills and ability to work with electronic maintenance documentation and systems.

  • Good command of English, sufficient to understand technical documentation and communicate within an international working environment.

  • Knowledge of Part-145 requirements and human factors principles.


Working Experience Requirements


  • Minimum 5 years of practical experience in aircraft sheet metal repair, aircraft structural repair, or a similar aviation structural maintenance environment.

  • Hands-on experience performing structural repairs on aircraft components, flight controls, or aircraft structures.

  • Previous experience within an EASA Part-145-approved maintenance organization is highly desirable.

  • Experience in the repair of ATR aircraft components or flight controls is considered a strong advantage.
