Job summary

Skyways Technics Poland is seeking a Production Planner to coordinate and monitor the flow of repair activities in the component repair workshop. You will align manpower, materials, tooling, engineering support and workshop capacity to meet agreed turnaround times while maximizing productivity and compliance with Part-145 requirements.

  • Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Engineering, Production Planning, Aviation Management, or a related discipline.
  • Good understanding of production planning principles within a manufacturing, maintenance, or component repair environment.
  • Good knowledge of Excel.
  • Experience using ERP, MRP, or production planning software.
  • Ability to analyze production data and generate planning reports.
  • Good command of English, both written and spoken.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain the daily, weekly, and long-term production plan for all workshop activities.
  • Plan and prioritize repair work based on customer commitments, contractual turnaround times, workshop capacity, and business priorities.
  • Coordinate workflow between the Sheet Metal, Composite, Paint, Technical Services, Logistics, and Quality departments.
  • Monitor work order progress throughout the repair process and ensure repairs remain on schedule.
  • Identify production bottlenecks and implement corrective actions to minimize delays.
  • Monitor workshop capacity and labour utilization to ensure efficient allocation of available resources.
  • Coordinate with Workshop Supervisors regarding manpower allocation and production priorities.
  • Ensure materials, tooling, equipment, engineering support, and technical documentation are available before scheduled work commences.
  • Coordinate with the Logistics Department to ensure timely availability of components, materials, consumables, and tooling.
  • Coordinate with Purchasing regarding material shortages or procurement activities affecting production schedules.
  • Liaise with Technical Services regarding damage assessments, repair schemes, OEM approvals, and engineering support required to maintain planned delivery dates.
  • Monitor Work-In-Progress (WIP) and ensure work orders progress through each repair stage without unnecessary delays.
  • Monitor Estimated Completion Dates and proactively communicate any delivery risks to Workshop Management and Customer Support.
  • Review customer priorities and adjust production schedules to accommodate AOG requirements or urgent operational demands.
  • Track and report workshop Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), including Turnaround Time (TAT), On-Time Delivery (OTD), Work-In-Progress (WIP), labour utilization, and workshop capacity.
  • Produce regular production status reports for management.
  • Participate in daily production meetings and coordinate actions with all workshop stakeholders.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives to improve workshop flow, productivity, planning accuracy, and resource utilization.
  • Ensure planning activities comply with company procedures and applicable Part-145 requirements.
  • Support internal, customer, and authority audits where planning records or production data are required.
  • Perform other planning and production coordination duties as assigned by the Deputy Group Workshop Manager.

Position Summary
The Production Planner is responsible for planning, coordinating, and monitoring the flow of repair activities within the Skyways Technics Poland component repair workshop. The role ensures that aircraft components are planned efficiently from induction through final release by coordinating manpower, material availability, tooling, engineering support, and workshop capacity to achieve agreed turnaround times while maximizing workshop productivity. The Production Planner works closely with Workshop Supervisors, Technical Services, Logistics, Purchasing, Quality, and Customer Support to ensure customer commitments are achieved while maintaining compliance with Part-145 requirements and company procedures.
Responsibilities

  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.
  • Experience using ERP, MRP, or production planning software.
  • Ability to analyze production data and generate planning reports.
  • Good understanding of aviation maintenance processes and Part-145 requirements is considered an advantage.
  • Good command of English, both written and spoken.
Working Experience Requirements
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in production planning, production control, or operations planning.
  • Experience coordinating multiple production activities within a manufacturing, maintenance, or aerospace environment.
  • Experience using ERP or production planning systems.
  • Experience monitoring KPIs such as Turnaround Time, On-Time Delivery, Work-In-Progress, and labour utilization.
  • Experience coordinating cross-functional teams to achieve production targets.
  • Previous experience within an aviation, aerospace, or Part-145-approved organization is highly desirable.
  • Experience working within an aircraft component repair workshop is considered a strong advantage.
