Job summary

Sii Poland is seeking a Senior Control Engineer to develop MLSL applications for MV drive control used in AC Electric Arc Furnaces. You will collaborate with engineers to design, implement, and validate control solutions across MATLAB/Simulink and ABB platforms.

Applicants should have 5+ years in Electrical/Power/Control Engineering and strong English skills. The role involves testing, commissioning and technical documentation in a dynamic industrial setting.

Qualifications

Minimum 5 years in Electrical Engineering, Power Electronics or Control Engineering.
Deep expertise with MATLAB and Simulink for control algorithms.
Strong knowledge of Medium Voltage Drives and their controls.
Experience with ABB control platforms and familiarity with Control Builder.
English language proficiency at advanced level.

Responsibilities

Design, develop and maintain MLSL apps for MV drive control in arc furnace power supplies.
Analyze requirements and translate into functional/software specs.
Develop and validate control algorithms using MATLAB/Simulink.
Configure and test control logic on ABB platforms.
Support integration, commissioning and troubleshooting activities.
Improve drive control strategies for industrial power electronics.
Work with Control Builder and CodeSys to implement control solutions.
Collaborate with electrical, control and power electronics experts.
Perform simulations, verification and validation on RT simulation platforms.
Provide technical support through design, commissioning and operations.
Contribute to documentation and design reviews.
