Job summary

Sii Poland seeks a Senior Control Engineer to lead design, development, and maintenance of MLSL applications for Medium Voltage Drive Control systems used in AC Electric Arc Furnaces. You will collaborate with electrical and power electronics teams to implement robust control solutions.

Applicants should have 5+ years in Electrical Engineering or Control Engineering, with deep MATLAB/Simulink expertise and experience with ABB platforms and Control Builder. Fluent English is required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience in Electrical Engineering, Power Electronics, or Control Engineering.
• Deep expertise in MATLAB and Simulink for control algorithms.
• Strong knowledge of Medium Voltage Drives and their control systems.
• Experience with ABB control platforms and familiarity with Control Builder.
• Advanced English proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain MLSL applications for Medium Voltage Drive Control systems used in AC Electric Arc Furnace power supplies.
• Analyze control system requirements and translate them into specifications.
• Develop and validate control algorithms using MATLAB and Simulink.
• Configure and test control logic within ABB control platforms and environments.
• Participate in software integration, commissioning, and troubleshooting activities.
• Support the optimization of drive control strategies for industrial power electronics applications.
• Work with Control Builder and CodeSys environments to implement control solutions.
• Collaborate with electrical, control, and power electronics specialists.
• Perform simulation, verification, and validation of control systems using Real-Time Simulation platforms.
• Provide technical support throughout the project lifecycle and contribute to documentation.
