Job summary

Sii Poland is seeking a Senior Control Engineer to join a project focused on power supply systems for AC Electric Arc Furnaces. You will design, develop, and maintain MLSL applications for Medium Voltage Drive Control systems, collaborating with multidisciplinary engineering teams to deliver innovative solutions.

The ideal candidate has a strong background in Electrical and Control Engineering, with deep expertise in MATLAB and Simulink, and hands-on experience with ABB control platforms and

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience in Electrical Engineering, Power Electronics, or Control Engineering.
• Deep expertise in MATLAB and Simulink for control algorithm development.
• Strong domain knowledge in Medium Voltage Drives and their control systems.
• Experience with ABB control platforms and familiarity with Control Builder.
• Practical experience in developing and optimizing drive control strategies for industrial applications.
• Advanced level of English.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain MLSL applications for Medium Voltage Drive Control systems used in AC Electric Arc Furnace power supply solutions.
• Analyze control system requirements and translate them into functional and software specifications.
• Develop and validate control algorithms using MATLAB and Simulink.
• Configure, implement, and test control logic within ABB control platforms.
• Participate in software integration, commissioning, and troubleshooting activities.
• Support development and optimization of drive control strategies for industrial power electronics applications.
• Work with Control Builder and CodeSys environments to implement and maintain control solutions.
• Collaborate with electrical, control, and power electronics teams.
• Perform simulation, verification, and validation of control systems using Real-Time Simulation platforms.
• Provide technical support throughout the project lifecycle from design through commissioning and operation.
• Contribute to technical documentation, design reviews, and knowledge-sharing.
