Job summary

Sii is seeking a Senior Control Engineer to design, develop, and maintain MLSL applications for MV drive control systems used in AC Electric Arc Furnace power supplies. You will analyze requirements, craft control algorithms, and work with ABB platforms and Control Builder.

Ideal candidates have strong MATLAB/Simulink skills, expertise in MV drives, and an advanced level of English. Collaboration with multidisciplinary teams is central to the role and opportunities for ongoing professional

Qualifications

• Minimum 5+ years in Electrical Engineering, Power Electronics, or Control Engineering.
• Proficiency in MATLAB and Simulink for control algorithms.
• Knowledge of Medium Voltage Drives and drive control systems.
• Experience with ABB control platforms and Control Builder.
• Practical experience in developing and optimizing drive control strategies for industrial applications.
• English at an advanced level.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain MLSL applications for MV drive controls.
• Analyze control system requirements and translate into specs.
• Develop and validate control algorithms using MATLAB and Simulink.
• Configure and test control logic within ABB platforms.
• Participate in software integration, commissioning, and troubleshooting.
• Support drive control strategy development for industrial applications.
• Work with Control Builder and CodeSys environments.
• Collaborate with electrical, control, and power electronics teams.
• Perform simulation, verification, and testing on Real-Time Simulation platforms.
• Provide technical support through the project lifecycle.
• Contribute to design reviews and knowledge sharing.
