Job summary

Sii Poland is looking for a Data Engineer to join our Data & Analytics team in Poland. You will shape scalable data pipelines on Google Cloud, primarily using BigQuery, and collaborate with analytics, BI, and product teams to deliver reliable data solutions.

Responsibilities include building data pipelines, orchestrating workflows with Airflow, and implementing CI/CD and IaC practices (Terraform). Fluency in English and Polish is required, with strong data engineering background in production

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience as a Data Engineer or in a data-focused production role.
• Strong knowledge of Google Cloud Platform, especially BigQuery and Cloud Storage.
• Ability to design, build, and maintain data pipelines (batch/streaming).
• Strong SQL and Python for data processing and orchestration.
• Experience with workflow orchestration (Airflow / Cloud Composer).
• Hands-on experience implementing CI/CD for data solutions (GitHub Actions/GitLab CI/Cloud Build).
• Familiarity with IaC (Terraform).
• Experience handling large data volumes with performance and reliability focus.
• Fluent English and Polish communication.

Responsibilities

• Designing, implementing, and maintaining scalable data pipelines on Google Cloud Platform.
• Work with BigQuery as the main data warehouse, including data modeling and query optimization.
• Integrate data from multiple sources and process/transform it.
• Orchestrate data workflows using Airflow / Cloud Composer.
• Create and maintain CI/CD for data pipelines and infrastructure.
• Manage cloud infrastructure with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform).
• Ensure data quality, monitoring, and rapid incident response.
• Collaborate with analytics, BI, and product teams to deliver well-documented data.
