Job summary

Sii Sweden AB in Poland is seeking a Data Engineer to join the Data & Analytics team, building data pipelines on Google Cloud Platform and advancing toward senior data roles.

You will model data in BigQuery, orchestrate ETL with Airflow/Cloud Composer, and contribute to CI/CD and IaC with Terraform. Fluency in Polish and production data experience are required; remote-hybrid collaboration across teams is expected.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience as a Data Engineer or similar role in production data environments.
• Strong knowledge of Google Cloud Platform, BigQuery modeling and cost optimization.
• Ability to design, build, and maintain data pipelines (batch and/or streaming).
• Strong SQL and Python skills for data processing and orchestration.
• Experience with workflow orchestration with Apache Airflow / Cloud Composer.
• Hands-on experience implementing CI/CD for data solutions (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Cloud Build).
• Familiarity with IaC (Terraform).
• Experience with large data volumes, performance and reliability focus.
• Polish language fluency and Poland location.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain scalable data pipelines on GCP.
• Work with BigQuery as the main data warehouse for modeling and optimization.
• Integrate data from various sources and orchestrate workflows with Airflow/Cloud Composer.
• Create and maintain CI/CD solutions for data pipelines and infrastructure.
• Manage cloud infrastructure using Terraform and IaC principles.
• Ensure data quality, monitoring, and rapid incident response.
• Collaborate with analytics, BI, and product teams to deliver reliable data.
