Job summary

Sii Poland is seeking a skilled Data Engineer to join our Data & Analytics team. You will build scalable data pipelines on Google Cloud Platform, specialize in BigQuery and data modeling, and drive data integration from diverse sources while ensuring performance and reliability.

You will collaborate with analytics, BI, and product teams, implement CI/CD for data solutions, and contribute to data architecture and best practices. Polish location required; English fluency essential.

Qualifications

• Min. 4 years of experience as a Data Engineer or similar role in production data environments.
• Strong knowledge of Google Cloud Platform with emphasis on BigQuery and Cloud Storage.
• Ability to design, build, and maintain data pipelines (batch/streaming).
• Strong SQL and Python skills for data processing and orchestration.
• Experience with workflow orchestration (Airflow/Cloud Composer).
• Hands-on experience implementing CI/CD for data solutions (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Cloud Build).
• Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform).
• Experience handling large data volumes with performance and reliability focus.
• Fluent English; Polish language skills required locally in Poland.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain scalable data pipelines on Google Cloud.
• Work with BigQuery as data warehouse: modeling, queries, cost optimization.
• Integrate data from files, databases, APIs, and events; transform data.
• Orchestrate data workflows using Airflow/Cloud Composer.
• Create and maintain CI/CD solutions for data pipelines/infrastructure.
• Manage cloud infrastructure following IaC principles (Terraform).
• Ensure data quality, monitoring, and rapid incident response.
• Collaborate with analytics/BI/product teams to deliver well-documented data.
• Contribute to data architecture development and data engineering best practices.
