Job summary

Sii Poland is looking for a Data Engineer to join our Data & Analytics team. You will design and maintain scalable data pipelines on Google Cloud, using BigQuery as the data warehouse and collaborating with analytics, BI, and product teams.

Requirements include 4+ years in data engineering, strong GCP/BigQuery skills, SQL and Python, Airflow/Cloud Composer, and IaC with Terraform. English and Polish fluency are essential; presence in Poland is required.

Qualifications

• Min. 4 years of experience as a Data Engineer in production data environments.
• Strong knowledge of Google Cloud Platform, especially BigQuery and Cloud Storage.
• Ability to design and maintain batch and/or streaming data pipelines.
• Fluent in English and Polish; willingness to be based in Poland.

Responsibilities

• Designing, implementing, and maintaining scalable data pipelines based on Google Cloud Platform
• Working with BigQuery as the main data warehouse: data modeling, query and cost optimization
• Integrating data from various sources and processing/transformation
• Orchestrating data workflows using Apache Airflow / Cloud Composer
• Creating and maintaining CI/CD solutions for data pipelines and infrastructure
• Managing cloud infrastructure following Infrastructure as Code principles (Terraform)
• Ensuring data quality, pipeline monitoring, and rapid incident response
• Collaborating with analytics, BI, and product teams to deliver well-documented data
• Participating in data architecture development and defining data engineering practices
