Job summary

Altherias in Warsaw seeks a Senior Business Analyst to lead analysis across end-to-end projects, model value streams, processes, and data, and translate business needs into system requirements.

You will drive requirements elicitation, support solution design, and guide change management while leveraging BPMN, UML, and SharePoint tools; remote-friendly with occasional near-site visits within Poland.

Qualifications

• Experience through complete lifecycle of software solutions.
• Proficient in business process modelling using BPMN.
• Experience eliciting and analysing requirements and user stories.

Job description

We are looking for a Business Analyst (Senior) for a key client based in Warsaw.

Typical tasks (non-exhaustive list)

• Business process analysis and modelling: models value streams, processes, roles, capabilities and data, identifying opportunities for continuous improvement.
• Requirements management: elicits, analyses, documents and tracks business requirements and user stories throughout the system lifecycle.
• Solution and system development support: translates business and technical needs into specifications and contributes to solution analysis, system design, testing and quality assurance.
• Business transformation and change management: plans organisational changes, process improvements and transition roadmaps, supporting and coaching users through changes.
• Strategic and performance support: develops business cases and feasibility studies, performs cost-benefit analysis, monitors process performance and supports strategic and tactical planning.

Requirements (ALL mandatory)

Education

Experience

• At least 8 years of IT experience
• At least 5 years of experience as a Business Analyst

Certification

At least 2 certifications among:

• Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP) or equivalent
• Certified UML Professional certificate at foundation level or BPM 2 fundamental level or equivalent

Knowledge and skills

• Has gone at least 1 time through the complete lifecycle of the software solution.
• Knowledge in business processes modelling using BPMN notation.
• Knowledge in requirements/user stories elicitation and analysis.
• Knows analysis/modelling notations like UML (capability diagram, activity diagram, state diagram, logical data model etc.).
• Is proficient in using modelling tools like Sparx Enterprise Architect, Aris Architect or others.

Specific requirements

• Mastery of Sharepoint and Sharepoint platform-specific tools
• Experience in gathering, analyzing, and prioritizing business needs, requirements and user stories
• Warsaw (near-site): candidates must be based within 2h driving distance from Warsaw.
• The position is mainly remote, but ad-hoc on-site presence might be required (up to 5 days/month).
