Job summary

Grid Dynamics is seeking a Robotics Simulation Engineer to join our simulation engineering pod. You will help migrate an autonomy simulation platform to NVIDIA Omniverse and Isaac Sim for a global heavy-equipment manufacturer, owning the scenario framework used to test software and collaborating with client simulation engineers.

You will connect autonomy software to the simulator through ROS 2 for SIL/HIL testing and run large scenario campaigns at scale, ensuring coverage and performance across

Qualifications

• Commercial experience in robotics or autonomy software engineering with a focus on simulation.
• Hands-on ROS 2 integration to connect autonomy software to a simulator.
• Proficient in Python and C++ programming.
• Experience defining and orchestrating parameterized scenarios with workflow engines or similar tools.
• Practical experience with software-in-the-loop and hardware-in-the-loop testing.
• Proven experience running simulations in batch or distributed setups.

Responsibilities

• Extend the scenario framework used by autonomy teams to define, parameterize and run test scenarios for software on real heavy machines.
• Migrate existing scenarios onto Omniverse / Isaac Sim platform without losing coverage.
• Connect autonomy software to the simulator via ROS 2 for SIL & HIL testing.
• Enable large-scale scenario campaigns to run reliably in batch or distributed modes and measure performance.
