Job summary

Grid Dynamics is seeking a Platform Engineer to join a simulation engineering pod supporting the migration of an autonomy simulation platform to NVIDIA Omniverse and Isaac Sim for a global heavy-equipment manufacturer.

You will own the platform layer used by simulation users, collaborating with client engineers and our infrastructure team to build, package and release the platform, keeping builds fast through a repository migration.

Qualifications

• Commercial experience in build, release or platform engineering for C++ and Python software.
• Hands-on experience with build systems, packaging and release workflows for C++ and Python projects.
• Proven track record of building developer tooling and designing or maintaining CI/CD pipelines.
• Strong programming skills in C++ and Python.
• Experience building backend services, APIs or SDKs consumed by other engineering teams.
• Ability to profile and optimize both runtime and build performance.

Responsibilities

• Own the build, packaging and release workflows of the platform's C++ and Python codebase from source to versioned releases.
• Support repository migration to Omniverse and Isaac Sim while keeping builds fast and reproducible.
• Design and build developer tools, backend services, APIs and SDKs for easy adoption by other teams.
• Collaborate on shared CI/CD pipelines that serve platform and simulation workloads.
• Profile and optimize build times and runtime performance as the framework grows.
