Grid Dynamics seeks a Senior Robotics Simulation Engineer to join a new team building an AI-first simulation platform on NVIDIA tech for autonomous heavy equipment. You will bridge our engineering effort with the client’s robotics and autonomy groups, bringing robot behavior into Isaac Sim and Lab, and advancing sim-to-real workflows.

You’ll own simulation development, integrate ROS 2, and mentor junior engineers while shaping scalable validation for real machines.

Qualifications

Senior level with robotics or autonomy experience.
Hands-on experience simulating robot behavior in Isaac Sim/Isaac Lab.
Proven ROS 2 integration capabilities with a simulator.
Strong in controllers, planners and policy testing in simulation.
Experience with Python for automation.

Responsabilités

Bring robot and machine behavior into simulation and connect to the autonomy stack through ROS 2.
Build and tune controllers, planners and learned policies for simulated robots.
Support autonomy validation with scenario-based simulation tests.
Close the sim-to-real gap with physics and sensor simulation engineers.
Develop simulation AI agents to automate scenario runs.
