Job summary

Grid Dynamics is seeking a Robotics Simulation Engineer to join a simulation engineering pod. The role focuses on migrating an autonomy simulation platform to NVIDIA Omniverse and Isaac Sim for a global heavy-equipment manufacturer expanding autonomy, robotics, and physical AI.

You will own the scenario framework used to test software, collaborate with the technical lead and client simulation engineers, extend and migrate test scenarios, connect autonomy software to the simulator through ROS 2,

Qualifications

• Commercial experience in robotics or autonomy software engineering with a focus on simulation.

Responsibilities

• Extend the robotics scenario framework to define, parameterize and run test scenarios for autonomy software on heavy machinery.
• Migrate existing scenarios to Omniverse/Isaac Sim without losing coverage.
• Connect autonomy software to the simulator via ROS 2 for SIL/HIL testing.
• Run large scenario campaigns reliably in batch or distributed modes and measure performance.
