Job summary

Sii Poland is seeking an experienced SQL Server Administrator to own complex SQL Server environments, focusing on the SailPoint Identity Governance database. You will handle upgrades, migrations, replication topology design, and performance tuning in a fully remote role across Poland.

Qualifications

• Minimum 8 years of experience as a Microsoft SQL Server DBA
• Extensive experience with SQL Server 2012–2022/2025 on Windows
• Deep expertise in architecting and rescuing failing replication topologies
• Familiarity with SailPoint IdentityIQ/IdentityNow database backends and connection pooling
• Strong knowledge of SQL Server architecture, security, backup, recovery, and performance tuning
• Proficiency in writing and optimizing complex SQL, stored procedures, and triggers
• Experience delivering upgrades, migrations, conversions, and consolidation projects
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to manage competing priorities and own technical issues
• Relevant Microsoft SQL certification or willingness to obtain one
• Familiarity with ITIL practices or willingness to work within ITIL
• Advanced level of English
• Nice to have: Jira knowledge
• Nice to have: excellent communication skills

Responsibilities

• Manage and optimize complex Microsoft SQL Server environments with a focus on SailPoint Identity Governance
• Own database administration, upgrades, migrations, and performance tuning
• Design, maintain, and troubleshoot advanced SQL Server replication topologies
• Ensure reliable data synchronization across on-premises and cloud environments
• Resolve replication latency, blocking, deadlocks, and transaction log issues in highly transactional systems
• Support SQL Server upgrades, migrations, and cloud transformation initiatives
• Implement and maintain high-availability and disaster recovery solutions (Always On, Log Shipping, Mirroring)
• Collaborate with infrastructure, identity management, and application teams to investigate production issues and optimize database performance
