Sii Poland is seeking an experienced Senior Data Engineer to join its Data & AI team within the Centre of Excellence. You will build and maintain data pipelines, support data integration, and collaborate with senior engineers on technical delivery.

The role is remote, with work contributing to projects for customers and internal teams. You will work with Microsoft Fabric, Synapse, Python, and SQL to transform raw data into usable assets, while aligning with data governance and security

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of data engineering experience.
• Deep expertise in Azure Data Factory, Synapse, and Microsoft Fabric.
• Strong Python and SQL for data processing and analysis.
• Experience with metadata frameworks and CI/CD with Azure DevOps or GitHub.
• Understanding of Azure networking and security fundamentals.
• Knowledge of GDPR, data governance, and data classification.
• Familiarity with lakehouse architecture, data warehousing, and data modeling.
• Fluent English and Polish; residency in Poland.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain reliable data pipelines and data flows.
• Develop notebooks and integration pipelines; contribute to technical delivery.
• Collaborate with Data Architects and Senior Data Engineers.
• Coordinate with customer-side engineering teams for project delivery.
• Follow CI/CD best practices using Azure DevOps.
• Apply secure engineering practices, including Key Vault and private endpoints.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies to enhance team collaboration.
• Document solutions and troubleshoot issues as they arise.
• Contribute to the Data Engineer Guild to share knowledge.
