Job summary

Sii Poland is seeking an experienced SQL Server Administrator to own and optimize complex MS SQL Server environments, focusing on the SailPoint Identity Governance database, while enabling reliable data processing and governance.

You will manage upgrades, migrations, performance tuning, and design high-availability replication topologies, collaborating with identity management teams to resolve bottlenecks and fulfill project requirements.

Qualifications

• Minimum 8 years of experience as a Microsoft SQL Server Database Administrator.
• Experience with SQL Server 2012 through 2025 on Windows platforms.
• Deep expertise in architecting and rescuing failing replication topologies and handling replication during network partitions.
• Familiarity with managing SailPoint IdentityIQ or IdentityNow databases and understanding its schema behaviour and connection pooling.
• Strong knowledge of SQL Server architecture, security, backup, recovery, and performance tuning.
• Proficiency in writing and optimizing complex SQL statements, stored procedures, and triggers.
• Experience delivering upgrades, migrations, conversions, and consolidation projects.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage competing priorities and take ownership of technical issues.
• Microsoft SQL certification or willingness to obtain one.
• Familiarity with ITIL practices or willingness to work within an ITIL framework.
• Advanced level of English.

Responsibilities

• Managing and optimizing complex Microsoft SQL Server environments with a focus on the SailPoint Identity Governance platform
• Taking ownership of database administration, upgrades, migrations, and performance tuning
• Designing, maintaining, and troubleshooting advanced SQL Server Replication topologies
• Ensuring reliable data synchronization across on-premises and cloud environments
• Resolving replication latency, blocking, deadlocks, and transaction log issues in highly transactional systems
• Supporting SQL Server upgrades, migrations, and cloud transformation initiatives
• Implementing and maintaining high-availability and disaster recovery solutions such as Always On Availability Groups, Log Shipping, and Database Mirroring
• Collaborating with infrastructure, identity management, and application teams to investigate production issues and optimize database performance
