Job summary

ALTEN Polska is seeking a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to join our Kraków team on a hybrid basis. You will design mechanical components for automotive applications using Siemens NX, manage data in Teamcenter, and ensure GD&T compliance across projects.

We value experienced professionals with strong collaboration skills who can work with international cross-functional teams and contribute to design reviews and product development from concept through validation.

Qualifications

• Experience with Siemens NX (NX 11/NX 12) in mechanical product design.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in the Automotive industry, preferably within automotive electronic hardware design.
• Strong knowledge of GD&T and plastic/die-cast component design; Teamcenter usage is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop mechanical components for Automotive applications using Siemens NX.
• Create and maintain 3D models, assemblies, and technical documentation.
• Design plastic and die-cast parts per project and manufacturing needs.
• Manage product data and engineering docs within Teamcenter.
• Apply GD&T principles throughout design and documentation.
• Collaborate with cross-functional international engineering teams.
• Participate in design reviews, workshops, and project meetings.
• Support product development from concept to design validation.

Location: Kraków / hybrid (2 days home office)

Tasks:

• Design and develop mechanical components and products for Automotive applications using Siemens NX.
• Create and maintain 3D models, assemblies, and technical documentation.
• Design plastic and die-cast parts according to project and manufacturing requirements.
• Manage product data and engineering documentation within Teamcenter.
• Apply GD&T principles throughout the design and documentation process.
• Collaborate with cross-functional international engineering teams.
• Participate in design reviews, workshops, and key project meetings.
• Support product development activities from concept through design validation.

Requirements:

• Experience with Siemens NX (NX 11/NX 12) in mechanical product design.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in the Automotive industry, preferably within automotive electronic hardware design.
• Strong experience in plastic and die-cast component design.
• Practical knowledge of Teamcenter (PLM).
• Practical knowledge and application of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing).
• Good written and spoken English skills.
• Strong team-oriented attitude and excellent collaboration skills.
• Experience in automotive-size product development is highly desirable.
