Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain firmware software in C++ for devices.
- Implement and validate new functionalities related to communication protocols such as EtherNet/IP and CIP.
- Debug software, analyze defects, and perform root cause analysis.
- Develop unit and integration tests and support quality assurance processes based on CI/CD practices.
- Participate in requirements analysis, system design, and architectural discussions.
- Prepare technical documentation and conduct code reviews.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex system issues in embedded environments.
- Work within Agile/SAFe methodologies and collaborate with international teams.
- Mentor junior engineers and actively share technical knowledge and best practices.
The ideal candidate for this position will have:
- Minimum 5 years of commercial experience in C++ development.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in embedded systems/firmware development and debugging.
- Strong understanding of the full software development lifecycle, including requirements analysis, design, implementation, and testing.
- Experience with networking protocols (TCP/IP, Ethernet), real-time operating systems (QNX, VxWorks), or embedded systems architecture.
- Hands-on experience with Git/GitHub/GitLab and CI/CD tools (Jenkins).
- Very good command of English (minimum B2 level).
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in a technical field such as Computer Science, Electronics, Automation, Robotics, or a related discipline.
Nice to Have
- Knowledge of EtherNet/IP and CIP.
- Programming experience in Python.
- Experience in industrial automation (PLCs, drives, I/O modules).
- Knowledge of functional safety and cybersecurity standards (IEC 61508, IEC 62443).
- Experience with hardware debugging tools (JTAG, Lauterbach).
- Understanding of low-level hardware concepts, including registers, interrupts, and BSP/HAL.
- Experience working in an Agile/SAFe environment.
