Job summary

Corning Inc. in Poland is seeking a skilled photonics engineer to lead the design and development of advanced optical connectivity products. You will optimize manufacturing processes for fiber optics and participate in technology validation and IP initiatives.

You will collaborate with global teams, apply DoE and Six Sigma methods, and contribute to innovations across photonics and optical systems, in a role that shapes cutting-edge communications technology.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s or Master’s in a technical field related to optics, photonics or physics.
Strong photonics and fiber optics knowledge with practical experience.
Experience with optical measurement equipment and lab testing.
Ability to apply DoE, FMEA or Six Sigma methods to projects.
Fluent English and Polish communications are required.

Responsibilities

Lead design, development, and industrialization of photonic connectivity products from concept to launch.
Design and optimize optical, optomechanical, and manufacturing processes for fiber assemblies.
Advance technology using DoE, Six Sigma, FMEA and related analyses.
Evaluate emerging photonic tech and materials, with experimental validation.
Identify IP opportunities and contribute to disclosures and publications.
Monitor trends in silicon photonics and high-density optical connectivity.
Collaborate with global teams to deliver robust photonic solutions.
