Job summary

Corning Inc. is seeking a talented R&D System Integration Engineer to join our Metrology Engineering team in Poland. You will integrate and validate advanced metrology systems for next‑generation micro-optics and co-packaged optics connectivity.

You’ll work at the interface of optics, mechanics, automation, software and manufacturing to deliver robust, scalable solutions. This role emphasizes multidisciplinary collaboration, hands‑on problem solving, and turning innovative ideas into reliable

Qualifications

Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in optics, photonics, physics, mechatronics, automation or related field.
Hands-on experience integrating multidisciplinary systems with optics, mechanics, sensors, motion control and software.
Experience with measurement systems, automation platforms, or precision equipment.

Responsibilities

Integrate complex metrology systems combining optical, mechanical, electrical and software components.
Validate and optimize advanced metrology equipment for R&D and manufacturing use.
Collaborate across R&D, process, automation, software and manufacturing teams.
Troubleshoot hardware, alignment, motion control, sensors and data acquisition issues.
Develop integration plans, test protocols and validation procedures.
Document architecture, steps, results and recommendations.
