Job summary

Corning is seeking an engineer to build measurement systems that meet the precision standards of next-generation networks. You will own end-to-end measurement challenges, design optical testing solutions, and work hands-on in a modern lab and on the production floor.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams across sites worldwide, stay ahead of metrology advances, and contribute to patents and publications while traveling to partner sites as projects require.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in optics, photonics, physics, or related engineering field.
• Fluent Polish and strong English language skills.
• Hands-on lab, prototyping, and metrology-focused work experience.

Responsibilities

• Own measurement challenges end-to-end—from problem definition to deployment on the production floor.
• Design and build optical testing solutions for fiber optic components.
• Work hands-on in lab and on the factory floor to assemble, wire, align, and debug systems.
• Automate measurement workflows to create reliable, data-rich processes.
• Lead experiments and root-cause investigations with cross-site teams.
• Stay ahead of metrology tech and bring new techniques into our roadmap.
