Job summary

EPAM Systems is seeking a Lead Full-stack Developer to build a new product using Python/FastAPI on the backend and React/TypeScript on the frontend, with PostgreSQL and OpenSearch for data management. The role involves multi-cloud infrastructure and extensive use of Databricks.

You will lead API design, optimize queries, and collaborate across teams while working in a startup-like, hybrid environment in Poland.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of production experience with Python, FastAPI and SQL.
• Proven ability to design APIs, build web apps and integrate systems.
• Experience handling high-load databases and query optimization.
• Some front-end work with TypeScript/React and openness to full-stack duties.
• Experience with GenAI tools; Claude Code is a plus.
• Excellent communication and self-motivation; works well solo or in a team.
• Comfort navigating uncertainty in a fast-paced startup setting; English B2+.

Responsibilities
