Qualifications

• 7+ years of production experience with Python, FastAPI and SQL.

• Some front-end work with TypeScript/React and openness to full-stack duties.
• Experience with GenAI tools; Claude Code is a plus.
• Excellent communication and self-motivation; works well solo or in a team.
• Comfort navigating uncertainty in a fast-paced startup setting; English B2+.

Job description

We're seeking a Lead Full-stack Developer to help build a new product powered by Python and FastAPI on the backend, React/TypeScript on the frontend, and PostgreSQL and OpenSearch for database management. This product runs in a multi-cloud setup and relies extensively on Databricks.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain web applications leveraging Python/FastAPI and SQL
• Architect APIs and integrations capable of supporting demanding database workloads
• Improve query performance throughout production environments
• Support front-end work involving TypeScript and React
• Utilize GenAI engineering tools to streamline development processes
• Work both collaboratively and independently on assigned responsibilities
• Maintain proactive communication with teammates and stakeholders
• Own product features and go beyond simply closing tickets to make meaningful contributions
• Handle ambiguous situations and produce results within a fast-paced startup setting

Requirements

• Minimum of 7 years working in production with Python, FastAPI, and SQL
• Strong background in building web applications, designing APIs, and creating integrations
• Skilled at managing high-load databases and enhancing query performance
• Some exposure to TypeScript and React front-end work, along with openness to full-stack responsibilities
• Practical experience using GenAI engineering tools, Claude Code experience preferred
• Excellent communication abilities and self-motivation, with comfort working solo or as part of a team
• Ability to navigate uncertainty and execute tasks independently in an open, rapidly evolving startup
• English language skills at B2 level or above

Nice to have

• Strong familiarity with TypeScript, React, Next.js, Storybook, Playwright, Radix UI, and Zustand
• Background working with PostgreSQL and OpenSearch
• Knowledge of cloud platforms, Infrastructure as Code, and associated tooling
• Data engineering exposure, particularly with PySpark and Spark SQL
• Prior experience interacting directly with clients
