Job summary

EPAM Systems, Inc. is seeking a Senior Full-stack Developer to own end-to-end delivery from Python/FastAPI APIs to a React/TypeScript UI.

You will optimize PostgreSQL and OpenSearch performance in a Databricks-heavy environment and collaborate across teams to ship features in a fast-paced startup setting. You will work across the stack, define APIs, and implement integrations while maintaining proactive communication with stakeholders.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of production delivery with Python, FastAPI, and SQL.
• Advanced knowledge of web application development, API design, and integration work.
• Hands-on ability to operate high-load databases and optimize query performance.
• Familiarity with TypeScript and React and willingness to work across the full stack.
• Practical experience with GenAI engineering tools, ideally Claude Code.
• Strong communication abilities and proactive ownership, comfortable working solo and with a team.
• Track record of navigating ambiguity and shipping without constant direction in a transparent, fast-moving startup environment.
• English proficiency at B2 (Upper-Intermediate) level or higher.
