Job summary

EPAM Systems is seeking a Senior Full-stack Developer in Poland to own end-to-end delivery from Python/FastAPI APIs to React/TypeScript UI. You will optimize PostgreSQL and OpenSearch performance and collaborate in a Databricks-heavy environment.

You will design APIs, integrate high-load systems, and deliver robust frontend work while leveraging GenAI tools to improve workflows. The role requires strong solo and team collaboration in a fast-paced startup setting.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of production delivery with Python, FastAPI, and SQL.
• Advanced knowledge of web application development, API design, and integration work.
• Hands-on ability to operate high-load databases and optimize query performance.
• Familiarity with TypeScript and React and willingness to work across the full stack.
• Practical experience with GenAI engineering tools, ideally Claude Code.
• Strong communication abilities and proactive ownership in a fast-moving startup environment.
• English proficiency at B2 (Upper-Intermediate) level or higher.

Responsibilities

• Develop and enhance web applications using Python/FastAPI and SQL.
• Define and implement APIs and integrations that support high-load database operations.
• Optimize and troubleshoot query performance in production systems.
• Deliver front-end work using TypeScript and React.
