Job summary

EPAM Systems, Inc. is seeking a Senior Full-stack Developer to drive backend and frontend delivery in a multi-cloud setup.

You will build with Python/FastAPI, React/TypeScript, PostgreSQL, OpenSearch, and Databricks while optimizing performance. Responsibilities include creating and maintaining web apps, architecting APIs for high-load workloads, improving query performance, and delivering UI work end-to-end.

Qualifications

• 5+ years delivering production systems with Python and FastAPI.
• Deep understanding of web app development, API architecture, and integration patterns.
• Experience managing high-load databases and improving query performance.
• Comfort with TypeScript/React and end-to-end full-stack.
• Hands-on use of GenAI tools; proactive and ownership oriented.
• English proficiency at B2 level or higher.

Responsibilities

• Create and maintain web applications with Python/FastAPI and SQL.
• Architect APIs and integrations to support high-load database workloads.
• Improve query performance throughout production systems.
• Deliver UI work using TypeScript and React.
• Apply GenAI engineering tools to streamline and improve developer workflows.
• Partner with teammates while owning and completing independent assignments.
• Share progress proactively with stakeholders and the wider team.
• Drive feature ownership and add value beyond ticket-by-ticket execution.
