Job summary

EPAM Systems, Inc. is seeking a Senior Full-stack Developer in Poland to build reliable Python/FastAPI APIs and rich React/TypeScript experiences. You will work with PostgreSQL, OpenSearch, and Databricks, focusing on integrations and performance.

You will own feature delivery, design scalable APIs, and contribute to frontend functionality while collaborating in a fast-paced startup environment. Strong communication and independent work are essential.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of real-world production experience with Python, FastAPI, and SQL.
• Solid background in web application delivery, API design, and system integrations.
• Proficiency with high-load databases and query performance optimization techniques.
• Ability to contribute on the front end using TypeScript and React while staying effective full-stack.
• Experience using GenAI engineering tools, ideally Claude Code.

Responsibilities

• Deliver and maintain web applications built with Python/FastAPI and SQL.
• Plan and design APIs and integrations that support high-load database operations.
• Optimize query performance across live production systems.
• Contribute UI functionality using TypeScript and React.
• Use GenAI engineering tools to improve development workflows and throughput.
• Collaborate closely with the team while executing autonomously on assigned tasks.
• Communicate proactively with team members and stakeholders.
• Take full ownership of product features and contribute beyond ticket completion.
• Handle ambiguity and consistently deliver in a fast-paced startup environment.
