Job summary

EPAM Systems is seeking a Senior Full-stack Developer to build a new product using Python and FastAPI for the backend, React/TypeScript for the frontend, and PostgreSQL/OpenSearch for data management. The role operates in a multi-cloud environment with Databricks involvement.

Responsibilities include API design, high-load query optimization, and collaboration with the team while also working independently. Hybrid work in Poland is offered, with potential for international project exposure.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of production experience with Python, FastAPI and SQL.
• Strong API design and integration skills.
• Experience with high-load databases and query optimization.
• Frontend experience with TypeScript and React.
• Experience using GenAI tools, Claude Code preferred.
• Excellent communication and proactive mindset.
• Ability to navigate ambiguity and work in a fast-moving startup.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain web apps with Python/FastAPI and SQL.
• Design APIs and integrations for high-load DB ops.
• Improve query performance across production systems.
• Support frontend with TypeScript and React.
• Leverage GenAI tools to improve workflows.
• Collaborate with team and work independently as needed.
• Communicate proactively with team and stakeholders.
• Own features and contribute beyond tickets.
