Job summary

Sweco Design Center Poland in Kraków seeks a qualified BIM Specialist to model and document civil structures. You will work on general arrangements, 3D models, and drawings using BIM workflows for construction projects.

The role requires 3+ years in BIM modelling, proficiency with Autodesk Revit, and strong English communication. Hybrid work is available in Kraków, with opportunities to grow into BIM coordination.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience in BIM modelling and preparation of construction design documentation within the engineering or construction industry.
• Working experience with Autodesk Revit.
• Very good communication skills in English (written and spoken).

Responsibilities

• Prepare general arrangement, 3D models and detailed drawings of civil structures at all stages of the project, supporting the development of construction design documentation.
• Collaborate on digital initiatives, parametric design, task automation, and digital twin.
• Understand design and engineering solutions based on sketches and concept drawings.
• Support development and implementation of BIM processes for construction projects, with opportunity to grow into a BIM Coordinator role.
• Identify opportunities for process improvement and efficiency gains in BIM workflows with stakeholders.

The Sweco Design Center Poland operates as an internal design center within the Sweco Group. The Design Center currently collaborates with three countries: Sweden, Norway and Denmark.

Responsibilities

• Preparing general arrangement, 3D models and detailed drawings of civil structures at all stages of the project, supporting the development of construction design documentation;

• Supporting the development and implementation of BIM processes specific to construction projects, with the opportunity to grow into a BIM Coordinator role;
• Identifying opportunities for process improvement and efficiency gains in BIM workflows, and collaborating with stakeholders to implement solutions.

What type of project will you work with

Both new construction and renovation projects within residential buildings, schools, daycare institutions, sports and cultural facilities, commercial buildings, and office buildings. Civil structures – concrete, steel, and timber construction.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field;
• 3+ years experience in BIM modelling and preparation of construction design documentation within the engineering or construction industry.
• Working experience within Autodesk Revit;
• Very good communication skills in English (written and spoken).
• Good to have: familiar with HVAC or electrical projects.
