Job summary

Sweco Design Center Poland, part of Sweco Group, seeks an experienced road engineer to lead complex road and highway projects on the Swedish market, from conceptual design through detailed documentation.

You will collaborate in a multi-disciplinary team, with English communication, and benefit from private medical care, language support, and flexible hybrid work across Polish cities such as Kraków, Wrocław, Gdańsk, or remote work.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
• 3–10 years of proven road engineering experience.
• Advanced proficiency in road design tools like Civil 3D and AutoCAD.
• Strong understanding of relevant standards.
• Ability to work in a multi-disciplinary team.
• Good English communication (written and spoken).

Responsibilities

• Lead the development of complex road and highway projects on the Swedish market.
• Oversee layouts, alignments, profiles, and detailed design documentation.
• Design road engineering projects from conception through to completion.
• Prepare road design documentation per project requirements and standards.
• Ensure all deliverables meet quality, safety, and compliance requirements.

Sweco Design Center Poland operates as an internal design center within the Sweco Group. It specializes in providing expert services in planning, engineering, architecture, and design across diverse sectors, including infrastructure, transportation, urban planning, construction, energy, manufacturing, and IT systems. The Design Center currently collaborates with three countries: Sweden, Norway and Denmark.

Responsibilities:

• Lead the development of complex road and highway projects of all sizes on Swedish market;
• Oversee preparation of layouts, alignments, profiles, and detailed design documentation;
• Design a variety of road engineering projects from conception through to completion;
• Prepare road design documentation by project requirements and standards;
• Ensure all deliverables meet quality, safety, and compliance requirements.

Our requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field;
• Proven experience in road engineering. We are open to experience ranging from 3 years to 10 years on relevant position;
• Advanced proficiency in road design tools like Civil 3D and AutoCAD;
• Expert understanding of relevant standards;
• Ability to work collaboratively in a multi-disciplinary team environment;
• Good communication skills in English (written and spoken).
