Job summary

Universal Investment seeks an experienced HR Business Partner in Kraków to align HR strategy with business goals, ensuring compliance and driving transformation across the employee lifecycle.

You will partner with leadership, support workforce planning, and manage complex employee relations in a regulated financial services context.

Qualifications

• Minimum10 years of professional experience in Human Resources, preferably within financial services or another regulated environment.
• Previous experience as HR Business Partner, 5 years as a minimum.
• University degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, Law, or related field.
• Strong knowledge of Polish employment law and HR best practices.
• High level of commitment, resilience, and accountability.
• Very good experience with HRIS systems, preferably Workday.
• Proven ability to execute plans and deliver outcomes within given timelines.
• High level of conceptual thinking combined with a pragmatic, hands-on approach.
• Proven ability to operate confidently and credibly at senior stakeholder level.
• Excellent communication, influencing, and stakeholder management skills.
• Strong team orientation and collaboration mindset.
• UK market experience will be an asset.

Responsibilities

Role Purpose

The HR Business Partner acts as a strategic advisor to business leadership and aligning people strategy with business objectives in a regulated financial services environment. The role provides expert guidance across the full employee lifecycle, ensuring compliance with employment law, organizational policies, and industry standards while driving transformation, performance, and efficiency.

Your tasks and responsibilities

Strategic Business Partnering

• Provide strategic consulting and advisory support to people leaders on all HR-related topics across the employee lifecycle
• Act as a trusted partner to leadership, aligning HR strategy with business goals and transformation initiatives
• Support workforce planning, organizational design, and talent strategies to enable sustainable growth

Employee Relations & Labor Law

• Support managers with employee-related decisions and actions ensuring compliance with local labor law and internal policies
• Manage complex employee relations topics, performance issues, and conflict resolution

HR Processes & Governance

• Drive the development and continuous improvement of strategic and operational HR processes at both local unit and group-wide level
• Ensure consistent application of HR policies, procedures, and governance standards in a regulated financial services context
• Monitor and mitigate people-related risks in alignment with compliance and regulatory requirements

Change & Transformation

• Partner with management to lead and support transformation and change initiatives
• Provide expert input on organizational effectiveness, culture, and engagement
• Support leadership in navigating complex change with a strong focus on communication and stakeholder alignment

HR Projects & Cross-functional Collaboration

• Support strategic HR projects in close collaboration with Centers of Expertise (e.g., TA, C&B, HR Operations)
• Drive innovation and introduce efficiency-enhancing and risk-mitigating HR solutions across international teams
• Act as an interface between business, employees, and HR functions
• Foster a strong, collaborative and high-performing HR community
