Job summary

Universal Investment is seeking an experienced Project Manager in Kraków to lead end-to-end delivery of strategic client projects. You will act as the central interface between clients, internal stakeholders, and management, driving cross‑functional initiatives across Operations, Fund Accounting, IT, Risk, Compliance, Legal, Sales and RM.

The role requires a degree in economics/finance and several years in project management or client implementation, with a solid track record of handling

Qualifications

• A successfully completed degree in economics, business administration, finance or a comparable qualification.
• Several years of professional experience in project management, client implementation or a comparable role, preferably within asset management, fund administration or financial services.
• Proven track record in managing complex, cross-functional and client-facing projects.

Responsibilities

• End-to-end delivery of strategic and business-critical client projects, from initiation and planning through implementation, go-live and handover to business-as-usual operations.
• Central project contact for key clients and internal stakeholders, ensuring transparent communication and alignment throughout the project lifecycle.
• Definition and management of project scope, objectives, milestones, timelines, responsibilities and deliverables with all relevant stakeholders.
• Coordination of cross-functional project teams across Operations, Fund Accounting, IT, Risk, Compliance, Legal, Sales and Relationship-Management.
• Proactive management of project risks, dependencies, issues and changes, including timely escalation and appropriate mitigation measures.
• Translation of complex client requirements into actionable workstreams and implementation plans aligned with operational capabilities.
• Preparation and facilitation of project governance, including steering meetings, status reports, decision papers and management updates.
• Ensuring successful delivery against quality, timelines and client expectations, including structured handover and follow-up of open items.

Your skills and experience:

• A successfully completed degree in economics, business administration, finance or a comparable qualification
• Several years of professional experience in project management, client implementation or a comparable role, preferably within asset management, fund administration or financial services
• Proven track record in managing complex, cross-functional and client-facing projects
• Strong project management skills and experience in structuring and driving projects with multiple stakeholders, dependencies and parallel workstreams
• Strong understanding of the asset management / fund services environment and relevant operational processes
• Excellent stakeholder management skills and the ability to effectively interact with senior client representatives, internal management and subject matter experts
• Strong customer and service orientation combined with a confident and professional demeanor in challenging project situations
• Highly structured, analytical and solution-oriented working style with a strong sense of ownership and the ability to drive topics independently
• Strong communication, presentation and negotiation skills as well as the ability to manage conflicts and escalations constructively
• Excellent written and spoken German and English
